Hey everyone! Before I get into this post, i'd like to apologize for my absence this week (and probably over the next week and a half). I am currently sitting my Advanced Higher/Higher prelims, and on top of that, i'm trying to get two folios ready for two different art schools, and to say i'm stressed is an understatement! So for the next week and a bit I might not post, but don't fear, i'll be back once it's all done!
So now that that's over, I have something quite excited to tell you! I've been nominated for a Leibster award by the lovely Amy from http://faceitamy.blogspot.co.uk/ ! (I was honoured to be nominated because I read her blog often, and it's amazing, I definitely recommend you check it out, if you haven't already!)
For anyone who doesn't know what the Leibster Award is, it's a way of helping new bloggers (and old) find new bloggers, with less than 200 followers, and help them get more recognition! I think it's a brilliant idea!
The Rules:
- You must link back to the person who nominated you
- You must answer the 11 questions given to you by the nominee before you
- You must 11 pick nominees with under 200 followers to answer your questions
- You cannot nominate the person who nominated you
- You must let the people you nominate know they have been nominated
The 11 questions Amy asked me were:
1. What is the most exciting thing you have ever done?
This is a hard one, because I have loads of things to choose from, such as dance shows, camping, abseiling, but i'd probably have to say my trip to Paris in February last year, because it was such a surreal experience, there was such a build up to it, and i'd always wanted to go to Paris, and to finally go was so super exciting for me! (I actually wrote a long blog post about it, which you can find here)
2. When shopping, where do you normally head to first?
I'm a makeup junkie, so it has got to be Boots! I have to go, it's a bit of a problem.. In terms of clothes, it's either H&M or Topshop, purely because they're the closest shops to the station when I come off the train in town, plus, they're two of my favourite shops!
3. Name one item in your make up bag that you own way too many of?
Lipsticks! (Or just lip products in general). It's a little bit of a problem, as I just seem to buy at least one every time I go into Boots or Superdrug! (My sister Caragh is always telling me off when I come home with a new lip product... oops)
4. Who, if anyone, is your style inspiration?
I have a few: Pixie Lott, Vanessa Hudgens, Mollie King and Emma Watson are my main inspirations, I just love their style!
5. How much time a week would you say you put into your blog?
It really depends on how busy my week is. On average, I usually blog 2-3 times a week (not recently though, sorry!), but when i'm doing a month long challenge (like Blogmas) then I put at least one hour a day into it. I love my blog, it's my baby!
6. What made you start blogging?
I've read blogs for years, and seeing the joy people get from blogging made me desperately want to join in the community, but I didn't know how to go about starting it, so I put it off until last year, when I finally just said to myself, "You know what, screw it, i'm starting a blog!"
7. What is the most expensive impulse purchase you've ever made?
This is a great question.. a great question that i'm struggling to come up with an answer for, because impulse is my middle name! I swear I just see things, and buy them without thinking... I have a few expensive dresses that I bought on impulse, and have only worn once or twice... There's probably so much though!
8. What is your favourite type of music?
I like a very varied range of music, it really depends on my mood. I can go from slow, emotional songs, to heavy rock within ten minutes. I think my favourite genre is either pop-rock, or pop-punk or alternative rock though. (bet you weren't expecting that!)
9. How did you meet your best friend?
I met her at school, when I was going through a really tough time, she was there to support me through it, and I will forever be thankful to her for it.
10. Where in the world do you most want to visit?
I have four places I really would looooove to visit, London, Paris (I know i've already been, but I would love to go again), New York and anywhere in Australia.
11. What would you say is your best feature?
I've been sat thinking about this question for the past 5 minutes, because i'm really stuck. I'm not a very positive person, and I don't have great self-esteem, so I really struggled with this. I really have no idea. Sorry!

1. What's a bad makeup habit you have?
I'm not sure if this can be classed as makeup, but I have a terrible habit of biting my nails, and picking my nail varnish off! It's a ridiculous habit that I can't seem to break it.
2. What are you very lazy with makeup wise?
Eyeshadow! I love wearing it, but quite frankly, I can never be bothered with it. The only time I really wear it is if i'm going somewhere nice.
3. What is one product completely not worth the hype?
The Bourjois 'Chocolate Bronzer'. This got such amazing reviews left right and centre, and while I didn't not like it, I just didn't love it.
4. What is a fashion trend you have never understood?
Birkenstocks! My mum had them when she was younger, and I always thought they were really ugly. Why did they come back? I really don't like them.

6. What do you get most excited about when you put up a new blogpost/video?
I don't think there's anything in particular. I like seeing if people like it enough to actually read it, but the joy I get is actually writing the post, not publishing it.
7. What are your favourite posts to write?
I don't write them as often as I should, but I love writing more personal/lifestyle posts. Alternatively,I love writing about my favourite products.
I'm such a bookworm, so book reviews are great for me to write, although I rarely do them!
8. What famous blogger/YouTuber would you love to collab with?
Without a doubt, Zoe Sugg from Zoella. I've read her blog/watched her videos for years, and she's such an inspiration. I'm so proud of everything she's achieved, and she seems like the sweetest person ever.
9. Who's blog do you ALWAYS have to read?
All of the ones i've mentioned in question 5!
10. What is a life goal?
This is really cliche and cheesy, but to be happy. I don't care about being super rich and successful (although that would be nice) i'd just like to be doing something I love, with the people I love.
11. What is your favourite product under £3?
Without a doubt the Palmers Cocoa Butter Lipbalm. It's my holy grail product. I absolutely love it.
