e.l.f. cosmetics elf makeup make-up haul swatches review

Hello again! Today's post is all about the makeup brand e.l.f. It's a brand I dabbled in a bit when I was in America but I haven't really explored it since it's been widely available in the UK. So with that being said, I went onto Superdrug and went a bit wild! I think you'll see from the haul that I am desperate for a night out or just somewhere that I can do nice makeup? It's been so long! Without further ado, let's get into it!

elf No Budge Eyeshadow Stick Rich Amethyst

Full disclaimer, I've had these products for quite a while now but haven't got round to editing the photographs until now! So I guess that means I have tried and tested them all!

First up is the 'No Budge Eyeshadow Stick' in the shade Rich Amethyst. I really wanted a shimmery purple eyeshadow that I could experiment with and this didn't disappoint. They were not lying when they said no budge, it is almost impossible to get off! So it will definitely last all day long.

elf Mint Melt Plumping Gloss Golden Nude
e.l.f. Mint Melt Plumping Gloss Golden Nude

Okay I know lipgloss is having a bit of a moment right now but I'm going to be honest, I haven't jumped on the bandwagon. It's just sticky, gets caught in your hair and doesn't last very long. But, being a beauty blogger I thought I should give a few lipglosses a try. I wasn't expecting much but boy was I surprised! This 'Mint Melt Plumping Gloss' in Golden Nude is a game changer. Firstly, it was only £4, so an absolute  bargain. Also, this is not sticky at all! I don't know how they've managed it, but I am so impressed with this lipgloss. I've been wearing it most days that I wear makeup, so it's safe to say I am eating my words and hopping straight on the lipgloss train.

Elf Lip Lacquer Wild Rose
E.l.f. Lip Lacquer Wild Rose

As I mentioned before, I was trying out a few lipglosses and this Lip Lacquer in the shade 'Wild Rose' was another of my picks. This colour is so pretty and similar to the Mint Melt gloss, it's not sticky! (How??) I prefer the previous gloss but I do still recommend this one, and at £3 you can't really go wrong.

elf sweet cherry lip exfoliator
E.l.f. sweet cherry lip exfoliator

As I mentioned at the beginning of my post, I tried a few things from ELF when I was in America, and this was one of them. I had the mint Lip Exfoliator and I loved it, so when I saw this  Sweet Cherry scent version I was sold. For those of you who don't know, Cherry is my favourite scent and this smells so good. Not only that but it actually works. It's super gentle but still exfoliating and leaves my lips so smooth and smelling of cherries. A win-win for me!

How cute is this wee eyeshadow palette? It is called 'Cream and Sugar' and it was only £3! These shadows are really pigmented considering the low price tag, and this is a perfect pallet for travelling with (when we can finally do that!) The first shade is perfect for all over the lid on a day, whilst the other three add shimmer, definition and glam, perfect for a night out.

elf instant Lift Brow Pencil deep brown

I have super thick eyebrows so I'm always looking for a new product to tame and define them, so when I saw this 'Instant Lift Brow Pencil' for only £3 I thought I would give it a try. I got the shade 'Deep brown' and it's lovely. It matches my hair really well and is super easy to apply. One thing to note is the stick is a bit thicker so if you have thin eyebrows, this probably isn't the product for you.

I thought I would pick up a few of their lipsticks whilst I was browsing as they were only £3. I didn't realise how similar the shades were until they arrived! The lighter one is 'Taffy' and the darker one is 'Cherry'.  I have to be honest with you, I hate the packaging of the lipsticks. The cardboard packaging is nice enough, but the clear lipstick tube is really cheap and tacky looking in my opinion. Kind of looks like children's makeup to me! That being said, the actual lipsticks themselves are really nice. So smooth and a little sheer. Perfect for sticking in your hardback for throughout the day touch ups.

Last but not least, we have quite possibly my favourite purchase of the haul. These metallic eyeshadows are honestly so beautiful. They were £6 each which I think is really decent for a highly pigmented eyeshadow. These really are the star of the show, once this is on your eyelid you don't need anything else. These are perfect for a summers day or a night out. I'm obsessed.

I hope you enjoyed this wee haul and first impressions post! I'm trying to get back into the swing of things and posting more. There is some exciting stuff coming!
