Oops.. so I did a bit of shopping.. I was going to split this into two posts, but i've decided just to condense it into one massive post. Enjoy!



First stop was New Look, where I got an adorable flower crown, some cute scrunchies (that i'd been wanting for aaages) and my Prom Shoes! And they were under £30! Absolute bargain, and I love them! (And they were so comfy on the night - my prom was on Thursday, post coming soon- I definitely recommend them to anyone who has a prom coming up!






I ten of course had to stop off at Boots! (What's a shopping trip without spending way too much money in Boots?!) Most of the stuff I bought was Prom related. I wanted my makeup to last all night, so I bought a primer from Rimmel (i've never actually used a primer before this, but I loved it!) I also needed a new eyeliner and I absolutely love Rimmel's "Scandaleyes" range. The "Palmers' Cocoa Butter" is my all time favourite lipbalm, and i'd ran out, so I rushed out to stock up!
For prom I wanted glitter nails, and this sparkly nail varnish from Maybelline was perfect.
Now, I am a very pale British girl, and for prom, I wanted to have a little bit of colour, but I didn't want it to be too drastic, and let me tell you, this Garnier tinted moisturser is absolutely incredible for giving a "Summer Glow".
I also like to carry a hand cream in my bag, so I purchased the sample size of the Soap and Glory "Hand Food". (I'm sure I don't need to tell you how great it is.)


I also popped into Primark and picked up some travel bottles, because i'm flying to London on Monday, and I also picked up the cutest pair of high waisted denim cut-offs, I think i'm in love...


Two days later, I headed into town again, and I did more shopping.. Oh dear..







I went back in to Boots, and spend more money! Again, most of these things were for Prom (can you sense a themed shop?) I got cheap powder just to put in my bag for touch ups, I needed a new foundation, so I fancied trying something different, and I finally got a Revlon Lip Butter, ad it was the perfect pink colour. I also got false eyelashes, and they looked amazing on my eyes, but I could not get the right eye to work, it just wouldn't stick, and eventually it turned out I couldn't use them for prom, which was really sad, does anyone else struggle with false lashes? I tried fro an hour! Is that just really bad? Please let me know!
I also realised I never photographed the last few things on the same day, so that's why they look different, but I also got some Charles Worthington hair products to travel to London with.

I popped pack into  New Look and picked up this gorgeous clutch bag, for only £8.99!


PS I just wanted to say a huge sorry for lack of posts, my life has been super busy recently. I've had exams, and a huge Advanced Higher Art portfolio to finish, i've had my prom, i've had dance rehearsals, and last weekend I was at Radio 1's Big Weekend (i'll probably do a blog post soon, but you can check out on my instagram - @youfounderin- if you want.), it was absolutely amazing, but it took up my entire weekend! And on Monday, i'm ff to London with two of my closest friends for 4 days, so i'll try to get a post up tomorrow, but if I don't 'll try to schedule some to go up for when i'm away! Did anyone else absolutely love McFly and Busted, back in the day? I've still loved them to this day, and when I found out that they were touring, I knew I had to go. On Thursday, I  was lucky enough to go to the first date of tour, and if any of you guys reading this are going, then you will absolutely love it. It was complete nostalgia for me, it just reminded me of my childhood, and it's made me want to go to the other three dates they have in Glasgow. But anyway, enough of the rambling, the weather was so nice that I knew I had to do an outfit of the day post for you all, as I loved my outfit. I think it was casual, but not too casual, which is perfect for an arena gig!
I have been looking for a kimono, and a pair of skorts for aaaaages, and I finally found both on the high street, which were perfect for me! I wanted to incorporate them both into this look, as I think they look nice together.







Thought i'd do a quick FOTD for you all as well

Hey everyone! So before I get into today’s post, I just want to say a massive SORRY to everyone, it’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve last posted, but my life just got hectic, and busy. I’ve also been really ill, so that kind of prevented me doing anything, and in all honesty, I just wanted to take a small break from blogging, but fear not, I’m back!

So.. It’s been a few (okay, a lot) of weeks since I last did one of these weekly catch-up style blog posts, and boy do I have a lot of things to say! This is essentially the mega edition of my weekly catch-up because quite a lot has happened, so be prepared for a long post! Enough of the rambling, lets get to it!

So many of you may know that I have been applying to universities, as I’m in my last year of school. On the 25th February, I had an interview at Edinburgh Napier for Graphic Design. I really loved the university, and the interview was lovely, and really informal, and I felt like it went okay. I had a design task to do on the day which involved having to recreate a scene from The Hunger Games using a book. Mines was terrible (I recreated the reaping, where Katniss volunteers for Prim), but I think it was more to see how you worked under pressure, and with a totally new material. I must have done better than I thought, because a couple of weeks later (on the 12th March) I got an unconditional offer for this course! I was over the moon!


I have my Silver Duke of Edinburgh this weekend (Saturday-Monday) and I realised just quite how unfit I was, so me and a few of my friends have been going out for a run every week, in the hope of becoming fitter. I think it’s been working. Plus, I really enjoy running, it makes me forget abut everything, and I feel awesome after it! (The Nike Running App, as seen above, is great for tracking your progress!)

The other week, me and two of my closest friends finally got round to booking flights and accommodation to LONDON. I am so excited. I can now officially say I’M GOING TO LONDON! We’re going in early June for three nights and four days, and I couldn’t be happier.


On the 8th March, I had the first of my Commonwealth Games training, as I’m going to be a volunteer. It was really great, we got to learn more about the history of the games, what our role was going  involve, and most excitingly, we got to see the uniforms! I actually really like them! (see here)

Another concert I went to was The Wanted (on 16th March). I grew up over the last four years loving them, and they are definitely my guilty pleasure. Despite not actually liking their new album, the show was really great, and I got quite emotional, much to my own surprise!

Finally, I was ill! (yay!) Last Friday, I went to school feeling pretty awful, but I just thought it was the cold, so I persevered through the day, and it was only when I came home that I realised maybe I was ill. I was up at 5am on Saturday morning, feeling pretty terrible, and I only got worse. I had to phone in sick, and I was ill the rest of the weekend. I’m not sure what it was, but I know I had flu like symptoms. I had The Wanted that weekend, on the Sunday, and that really didn’t help in getting me better, but I’m recovering now!

Song: Mr C - Nina Nesbitt, it’s so catchy, I love it! In fact, her whole album, Peroxide, is amazing.
Food: Rice Krispies! I’ve been a bit obsessed.
Product: Mascara (Maybelline The Rocket) my eyelashes have just seemed extra short lately, and mascara just helps to open up my tired eyes!
Item of Clothing: Band t-shirts/ baggy tops in general. Comfort is key when you’re ill!

Hello everybody! It's week two of this regular chat that i'm starting on my blog (read what happened last week here), and this week has been considerably better than the last!

If you read last week's entry, you'll know that I was concentrating on sending away my folios for art school. On Monday, I sent my final art school portfolio away to Edinburgh Art School. It was such a relief, knowing that it was away! However, I didn't mention last week, that one of my Universities got back to me, and i'm onto the next stage, which involved a design task, and a portfolio, by the end of this month, so i'm a little stressed about that, but obviously over the moon that I made it to this stage!

This week, I made a big mistake. I started watching "Pretty Little Liars". I have been meaning to watch it for ages now, since a couple of my friends have recommended it to me, and since my exams were over, and I had a week off, with nothing better to do, I thought, why not? And it is amazing. I am literally hooked. I've already finished Season 1 (yes, really!) It is really good, although only start watching it if you have time, because after each episode, you keep wanting more, and more, and more, until, before you know it, you've wasted your whole day watching them!

Thursday was by far the most exciting, and best day i've had for a while. I've been a fan of You Me At Six for quite a while ago, and since I got Cavalier Youth, I've had it on repeat, so you can imagine how happy I was when one of my friends managed to get us wristbands for the intimate gig/signing that they were doing in HMV Buchanan Street (in Glasgow). It was such a fab day, we waited out in the cold for an hour and a half, then we were let in, and waited for them to perform. And they were absolutely incredible. Meeting them after, and getting my album signed? That was beyond amazing. They are all genuinely such lovely guys. It was well worth the wait. I highly recommend checking them out if you haven't already. Their new album Cavalier Youth is currently number 1 in the UK, so everyone should buy it, to keep it there. On Friday, me and two of my closest friends, Kate and Cara, went round to Cara's house, and we planned out our trip to London in June. I am soooo excited, as London is one of the places i've wanted to visit for as long as I can remember, and i'm finally going! So that was a great day as well.
However, to top off this great week, I actually heard back from another of my Universities (Edinburgh Napier), and they've invited me for an interview for their Graphic Design course. The portfolio and interview sound pretty difficult, making me very nervous, but i'm so unbelievably happy that I made the shortlist of potential candidates!
And that's been my week, it's been pretty great in my opinion, and the thought of going back to school tomorrow, and getting my exam results back, terrifies me a little.

Blogmas day seven, and it's time for another installment of "style files", and this time it's in the form of Scottish, pop/alternative singer/songwriter Nina Nesbitt. I've been a fan of Nina for quite some time now, and she is still quite unknown in the world of music today, but after she releases her album next year, I think that will change. Nina Nesbitt has a very unique, quirky, grungy style, and I absolutely adore it, so i'm going to share with you some of my favourite outfits!
