Eclipse by Ghost Perfume || First Impression

June 16, 2014

For my birthday, I received this bottle of perfume, which I believe is a new release. I wanted to do a quick review on it, so lets go!
First of all, can we all agree that the packaging is unbelievably gorgeous?! I am in love with it. I think perfume bottles play a huge part in the perfume itself, as I personally want to display all my perfumes, and if they have an ugly bottle, i'm more reluctant to buy it, no matter how amazing it smells. \i think it's quite unique, and really expensive looking. It's also very sleek, so it's a great perfume to just pop in your handbag for everyday use.
It smells lovely too. When I first smelled it, it seemed quite strong, and I thought it would be great for evenings, but too overpowering for every-day use. However, once sprayed on my body I found it to be quite subtle, which in my opinion is a brilliant thing. This makes it perfect for both day and night.
I think it smells quite musky, and spicy, and also really citrus-y. As i'm awful at describing smells, I looked online, and found a description on fragrantica which perfectly describes it.
"Top notes are bergamot, lemon, mandarin orange, black currant, peach, apple and marigold; middle notes are lotus, freesia and rose; base notes are amber and musk."
As for longevity, it's not the most long lasting perfume ever. If you've been wearing it all day, you'll definitely need to top up if you're going out.

I have the 30ml bottle which was £24.00, and I think that's average for a perfume. You can get 50ml (£33.00)  and a 75ml (£42.00)  as well, and you can pick them up here.

I would give this perfume a strong 8/10. A fab scent!
