Hey guys, it's been a while, hasn't it? I apologise for my absence, I can't believe it's been a month since I last posted (which was my 50 in '15 Update) but i've had a super busy, stressful and eventful month, which i'm going to try my best to explain here.
I don't want to go into detail, because it's quite personal (maybe one day!), but long story short, back at the end of January I went to the doctors, and i'm seeing her regularly, as well as taking medication. That all sounds okay, except, well, the medication is making me feel rubbish. (And my dose has just been increased, so that doesn't help things.) It means that I feel more tired, dizzy, sick etc, so in all honesty, keeping my blog up hasn't been top of my list!
As well as that, university has been keeping me occupied in all my spare time, and any free time I have, i've just been wanting to sleep! (And if i've not been sleeping, i've been at the gym, to prevent me from falling asleep!) Also, we were looking for flats, and I have an essay to write, and there is all sorts of factors contributing to why I have not been online.
However, i'm feeling much better now (except for a cold, nooo!) and after Tuesday, my workload will be majorly reduced, so i'm hoping to get back into the routine of posting that I was in at the start of 2015.
I also haven't been reading, and i'm trying to read 50 books this year, so i'm going to try and read a few more, and then there should be another post on my blog soon all about that!

Hey everyone! Hope you're all well! I had this crazy idea at the beginning of this week to start up a little regular thing on my blog, called "Weekly Catch-Up" (Original, I know!) Basically, I thought I could fill you in on the little things that i've been doing in my week, just to give you an insight into my life (look, I even made a mini banner thing!). My life is going to change this year, provided I get into University (i'm staying hopeful!), and I want you guys to be a part of this crazy ride!
I'll probably put the posts up every Sunday, at around about this time, and some will be more interesting than others, but enough of the rambling, lets get started!

This week has been exam/folio central! I've had two exams this week (Graphic Communication and Business Management), both of which required a lot of revision, and work. I hope i've done enough to at least pass them!
On top of that, I had a folio to put into Glasgow School of Art, as i'm applying for their Visual Communication course. It basically consisted of sending in 15 digital images (slides of images), and below is an example of one of the slides I sent away.


I still have another folio to be sent away to Edinburgh Art school, for their Graphic Design course, by Tuesday, and it requires ten more images, so i've been busy getting that together to the best quality that I can. Stressful is an understatement!

I am a messy reviser. When I sit at my desk to study, it starts off lovely and clean, as does my surroundings, but half an hour into revision, my stuff is strewn everywhere. It gets into such a state! Don't believe it? Here's proof below. (I'm so ashamed)

Yes, it was really that bad. However, I did tidy it up after my last exam (which was Friday), so now it's lovely and clean! Take a peek:

Everyone should be proud of me! I filled up three bags full of paper, and one full of rubbish. How did I get this messy?!
Aside from that, not much else happened in my life this week, a pretty boring start to my little blogging series that i'm doing! I hope next week will be better, and hopefully slightly more interesting!

I am so sorry I haven't blogged this week, i've literally been so busy with school, (i'm in my last year, ah!), and when i've came home i've literally just wanted to eat food and sleep, because i'm stressed and not in my happiest mood ever...

Basically it's not been a great week for me, i'm super duper stressed about my artwork for Advanced Higher Art course, and my school is in the process of picking out prefects (around 80 people applied in my year, and they need to limit it to 30...), so I had to fill out an application about "Why I would make a good prefect", and to add to that, I had to do an interview, but just as I was about to go in today, the fire alarm went off, so I need to re-schedule it for tomorrow morning, so i'm bloomin' terrified about that! It's with one of the teachers I know as well, and in most peoples eyes that's a good thing, but I would rather have a teacher that didn't know me at all, so I could start fresh, a clean slate and everything..


But anyway, that's schoolwork for you.. Next on the list is "interviews", and I spoke there about my prefect one, but I also have another one a week today.. I live in Glasgow.. and in case you didn't know, the Commonwealth Games are coming here next year, and I applied back in January to be a volunteer, and I heard back from them recently.. I got an interview. "Wow, Erin that's so good, only half the people gt interviews, you must be s chuffed!" Might be along the lines of what you're thinking.. Maybe not, but anyway, yes, i'm super pleased they've considered me for an interview, and it's in Sports Competition, which is basically the best thing, you get to help the competitors, and be right in the middle of the action.. Sounds perfect?
I had to fill in a bit in the application about what sports I enjoy, and if I did any sports .. Now I put down that I loved athletics, and also liked swimming, and that I ran a lot when I was little, and that I liked swimming..
You would think I would maybe be put in the athletics/swimming place? Or somewhere similar, yes? Wrong..
I got wrestling..
I don't agree with wrestling, I don't like it, I don't think it's a sport, and i've never watched a full match.. oops?
So that'll be interesting to see how that goes. Did any of you get an interview for the Commonwealth Games? What was it for?

So finally, you'll see "Hiking" in the title. In a week on Saturday, i'm going on my Duke of Edinburgh Expedition (Google it), and this is pretty much what I do..
Spend two nights in a tent, three days walking, up hills, down hills, across rivers, for 7 hours each day...
How fun..
I've done a Bronze one last year (one night two days), and although it was actually so tiring, it was a lot of fun, so i'm dreading it, but also looking forward to it!

So that's a little update on my life, it's not my usual style, but I just wanted a little change. Hope you didn't find it too boring!
