What's In My Makeup Bag? || Updated

May 23, 2014

So waaaay back when I first started my blog, I did a "What's In My Makeup Bag" (it's terrible, but if you feel like looking, it's here. Don't say I didn't warn you!). I looked back at it the other day, and realised that almost everything in it has changed! Because of that, i've decided to do an updated version. (This is also kind of an "every day makeup" post, but I might do a separate post on that, with photos of me with the makeup on?)

Collection Lasting Perfection Foundation in Shade 2 - Ivory £5.99 (here)
First up is my foundation, and this is actually a new discovery of mine. I absolutely love the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, so when I spotted the matching foundation in Boots, I was quick to snap it up! I've been using it for a few weeks now, and I have to say, I really like it! It gives a nice, even, full coverage, and it's great at hiding redness, which is something that I annoyingly suffer with (along with frequent breakouts, it's terrible, and so frustrating!) It doesn't last really long, but it does last a reasonable amount of time.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Shade 2 "Cool Medium" £4.19 (here)
And to go with the foundation, it is of course the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. Unless you've been living without the internet then you'll have heard of beauty bloggers and vloggers everywhere raving about this product, so I really don't think I need to say anything about this product other than, it's fab.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in "Transparent"£3.99 (here)
Oh how I wish I had  shiny new product to show you, but, sadly, I don't! This powder is seriously amazing, another highly talked about product in the beauty world. The only downside is that the packaging is terrible, and as you can see from the photo, it breaks really easily, just as mine has!

Bourjois Delice de Poudre bronzer in the lightest shade. £7.99 (Here)
I love this bronzer for contouring, and giving my face an all round glowy look. Again, it's a very talked about product, so I won't say too much, except, I like it.

Sleek Face Contour Palette in the lightest shade £6.49 (here)
I also really love the Sleek face contour palette, although as you can see, there is no longer any of the bronzer left, but I am continuing to use the highlighter occasionally. I don't use it every day, but I will use it if my skin is looking particularly dull.

Burts Bees Replenishing Lipbalm in Pomegranate £3.69 (here)
This lipbalm is literally a godsend. It's one of those products that I would be lost without. This lipbalm leaves my lips feeling soooo soft, and it smells amazing, it's just an all round great product, and it goes everywhere with me.

MUA Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow palette £4.00 (here)
Currently, the eye palette i'm using is this one. It's great for every day eye looks, as it's all neutral shades. I don't use eyeshadow every day, because i'm often in a rush, but when I do use it, I just mix a couple of the shades together to create a really subtle smokey eye.

Maybelline Cclour Tattoo in "On and on Bronze" £4.99 (here)
Unlike the previous eye palette, I do use this eye product almost every day. This really is great at priming my eyes, and just giving them a wash of colour. Plus, it lasts all day!

Maybelline Baby Lips lipbalm in "Cherry Me" £2.99 (here)
Now, when I first saw this product, I was quick to try it out, and I could only get the pink one. It smelt okay, but the colour totally put me off, and I said on my blog that I "didn't get the hype" surrounding this. (you can read it here) However, since acquiring the cherry one, i've completely changed my opinion on them! This one leaves my lips really soft, and the subtle red goes really well with my skin tone. This always gets put in my bag in case of quick touch ups, as it just gives your lips a little boost.

Top to bottom: Maybelline Colour Sensational in 852 "Coral Pearl" £6.99 (here),
Rimmel Kate Moss in 19 £5.49 (here),
Rimmel Lasting Finish in 058 "Drop Of Sherry" £4.99 (here) ,
Une Beauty Sheer Lip Balm in S07  £1.99 (here)
In the photo, these lipticks look exactly the same, but they are all totally different once I apply them to my lips! The Maybelline one is a matte browny-nude, while the Kate Moss one is a matte pinky nude, the Rimmel one is a glossy pinky red, and the bottom one is very sheer, and perfect for just boosting the natural colour of my lips.

Beauty UK High Brow All In One Brow Definition Kit £3.99 (here)
This is honestly one of my favourite products. I won't say too much cause I did a full review on this (which you can read here), but it basically makes doing my eyebrows super quick and easy, and this kit is so affordable!

Maybelline Brow Drama "Sculpting Brow mascara" in Dark brown £4.99 (here)
You know those days when your eyebrows just need that extra boost? Well, this product is perfect for this. It's not brilliant, but it keeps my eyebrows in place all day.

Topshop Khol Liner in "Sable" £4.00 (here),
Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner in "Nude" £3.99 (here)
When I don't want my eye makeup to be too bold, i'll use this brown Topshop liner in Sable to give me a more neutral look. I also like to line my waterline with the nude, as it isn't as harsh as a white pencil.

Maybelline "The Rocket" Mascara £7.99 (here)

This is probably my favourite mascara ever. I'm sure everyone reading this has heard of it, and heard loads of people rave about it, and honestly, it's brilliant. It just makes my eyes look more awake, and it makes my lashes super long.

Maybelline Waterproof Gel Liner £7.99 (here)
I'm almost finished this little pot, but this is the best gel liner i've used, it honestly does not budge from my eyes ALL day. Definitely a beauty staple for me!

Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara  £7.99 (here)
This is only in here because i'm trying it out, and i'll be reviewing it in full soon. But, i'm not too sure about this. It's okay, but I got it for £5.00, when it retails for quite a bit more. I wouldn't pay more than a fiver for it, i'd much rather stick to my The Rocket mascara.

Collection Fast Stroke Liquid Liner £2.99 (here)
For years, and years i've been unable to use liquid liner, but i've always loved how it looks so bold, so when I found this in my makeup collection recently I was determined to get it to work! I'm doing okay, I can draw a line, but don't ask me to do a flick! That's where my gel liner comes in handy!

There's not much to say about these, it's my tweezers and eyelash curlers, they both work well, and they were super cheap.

(l-r) Real Techniques, Eco Tools, Amazon
My brushes! I don't really use a lot of brushes, because the Real Techniques one is fab at doing loads of things! I am quite happy with my set of brushes, and none of them were expensive.

Accessorize Lip Gloss
Last but not least, my Accessorize lip gloss. I really love this, but again, I won't say too much, because I reviewed it a while back. (you can read it here)

Aaaaand, that's what's in my makeup bag! Do you guys have any of the same products in your makeup bags? Let me know!

Thanks for reading, see you soon!
