I love lip products, and I don't think that will come as a surprise to anyone. I love how they can completely transform a look, whether it be a bold red, or a peachy nude.
Another thing I love is cheap, but great lipsticks, and I rarely (aka never) buy high end products, as in my opinion the cheaper ones are just as good!
I've rounded up ten of the best (in my opinion), lipstick products, so i'm going to share them with you!

My camera charger is broken, so I can't take any photos, so i'm just going through the ones I had already uploaded, so sorry for all the product reviews! I was planning to blog about all the products over a matter of weeks, but because I can't take more photos, these are the only things I can do, so therefore, i'm reviewing the Schwarzkopf Got2b Happy Hour Hairspray today! I saw this in boots, and i was looking for a good hairspray (i have had so much trouble with hairsprays over the past few years, none seem to work in my hair!). This had "New!" printed on it, so I decided to buy it, and see.

When I first saw it, I actually didn't like the packaging at all. I think it looks cheap, and a bit tacky, so I skipped over it, and went to looking at the others. It was actually my friend who was with me, who actually said "Erin, smell this, it smells amazing!", so I took a sniff, and my friend was right, it smells diving. It's really fresh, but not overpowering, which I think is rare with hairspray, as usually they make me want to choke.

After reading the back of the product, I decided I would give it a try, despite disliking the packaging.
The tube itself is really easy to hold, and the cap pops off easily, but not too easily. I've been using the hairspray for a few weeks now, and the nozzle hasn't blocked, which is always a good thing!


The product itself is okay. I'm really fussy with hairsprays, and this one is not perfect. It is one of the best i've used, although at first, it left my hair feeling a little sticky. It dried in, but it made my hair a little hard. I've been trying to find a hairspray that doesn't leave my hair feeling dry (I don't even know if they exist), and this one left it quite dry, but not too dry, in comparison to any other hairspray i've ever used.
However, it brushes out really easily, leaving my hair soft again.
Hold-wise, I would say it was a medium hold. It wasn't great, but it was good enough for a few hours. I think if you were going out for the night, you would need to touch it up, especially if you have your hair curly, but again, this might be because my hair is super duper thick.
It says on the bottle "24 hour hairspray". It's definitely not 24 hours.

Overall, I love the smell of the product, and I think the product itself is pretty good value for money (under a fiver!), so I would give it a 7/10.

Hey ladies! Today's post is another review! Before buying this, I read up on some reviews online, and let me tell you, they were very mixed! However, I went ahead and purchased it none the less, as on a whole, I love Simple's products. Plus, I love trying out new products, and I was in desperate need of a new moisturiser, so why not?
As I mentioned, i've liked most of the products that i've tried from Simple so far, so I had high hopes for this product. My skin breaks out really bad, so when I saw that this was supposed to help reduce spots, of course it was going to interest me.
My first impression was that I loved the packaging. I know it doesn't effect the actual product, but if it's visually appealing, then i'm going to like it before i've even tried it. (I'm hoping to study design at university, so i'd like to think I have a relatively good eye for design.)
When I squeezed a little bit out of the tube, I first noticed that it was pretty runny, almost too runny. However, I went ahead and put it on my face. Unlike what a lot of reviews said, I thought this absorbed really quickly, feels refreshing on my skin, and I almost instantly had a healthy glow. Like all Simple products, it doesn't have a smell, which in my opinion is a good thing, as if products are fragranced a lot of the time this means they have added ingredients that are bad for your skin. Definitely not good if you have spot prone/sensitive skin like myself!

I use this product morning and night (I know, I know, I really need to get a night time moisturiser), and in this case, a little bit goes a long way.
Within about a week or so, I started to notice a difference in my skin. It says on the front of the tube "Results from day 1".  Like when most products say this, it definitely did not make a difference from day one, but about after 7 days or so.
 I was breaking out less, and my skin felt less oily (does anyone else get really oily skin under their eyes? I cannot stop it!).  However,contrary to a lot of reviews, it does leave my skin a little too shiny, not oily, just shiny (despite many saying that it keeps it matte) sometimes, but that is easily covered with powder. It also might just be my skin type, so that's not saying that it will be shiny for you reading this.

I love how Simple's products can guarantee that they have no bad things in their products, and they always tell you exactly what it is doing for your skin on the front of the bottle, like you can see in the photos above.
As for the price, I think it's really affordable. At under a fiver, for a decent moisturiser, you can't go wrong really! This is great for people on a budget (such as myself!)
Overall it isn't the best moisturiser I've used, but for the price, and the amount you get, it's worth the money, and I will definitely be re-purchasing it to use on a daily basis. It doesn't prevent spots, but it does help to get rid of them.
I would probably rate it 4/5.

I first saw this tag a while back, but i was recently reading a blog (this one to be precise) and it came up again, so i thought i'd give it a shot!

SKINCARE -

How many times do you wash your face daily?
Twice, once in the morning, and once at night. However, sometimes i'm in such a rush in the mornings that I don't have time to do the full cleanse, tone, moisturise that I always do at night.

What skin type do you have? (dry,oily,combo)
I have pretty normal skin, except for some reason under my eyes get quite oily. I have generally quite sensitive skin, when i'm shaving my legs, i always get rashes, and i'm yet to find a razor that minimises rashes!

What is your current facial wash?
It is the "Neutrogena visibly clear pink grapefruit cream wash" and i love it!

Do you exfoliate?
I exfoliate more so in winter, but I try to exfoliate in summer too!

What brand do you use?
It changes all the time. Currently it's The Body Shop "Sweet Lemon" body scrub. I like it, but I don't love it.

What moisturizer do you use?
For my face i use "Simple, spotless skin anti-blemish moisturiser" and i love it! There's actually a review of it on my blog, which you can read here.

Do you have freckles?
Yes! And I don't like them one little bit. They've became less prominent as i've got older, but they're still there. Some people really suit them, I, however, don't.

Do you use eye cream?
I don't, no, although I know i should. The bags under my eyes are horrendous.

Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
Yes, and it's a nightmare.

Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
Luckily, no.



MAKE-UP

What foundation do you use?
I swear by Rimmel's "Wake Me Up" Foundation. I absolutely love it.

How about concealer?
It's a beauty blogger's favourite, it's the Collection(2000?) Lasting perfection concealer. Another favourite of mine.

Do you know your undertone color?
I am neutral, but i have a little bit more of a cool undertone, so i'm between neutral and cool.

What do you think of fake eyelashes?
I personally am too scared to use them. I think they look beautiful, and I have often thought about wearing them, but haven't. I think they look better than mascara, and I may start wearing them soon.

Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
I did, yes, luckily for me, I wear a lot of mascara, pretty much every day, so I usually run out of mascara before the three months is up.

What brand of mascara do you use?
I chop and change all the time (i'm on a quest to find the "perfect" mascara!) Currently i'm using Maybelline's 'The Falsies' mascara.

Sephora or MAC?
Both are very expensive, and i don't have a tonne of money, but I have a couple of things my aunt (who lives in America) brought from Sephora, and i love them! I also think Sephora have a wider selection of items, but Mac has the most gorgeous lip shades. I can't pick!

Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
I don't, no

What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
I only use make-up brushes, and eyelash curlers, i can't live without the curlers!

Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
For the eyes i do, if i remember! I'm often in such a rush that i forget. Oops.

For the face?
No, i know I should though!

What is your favourite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
Neutrals, i'm so boring and unadventurous, I know!

Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
I use pencil in the outer corners of my waterline, but I actually use a gel liner on my top lid, i find it a lot easier to use! (Rimmel Waterproof Gel Liner)

How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Hardly ever actually! It's the mascara wands that are a problem..

What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
I don't mind them, but I don't use them often, as they are a lot messier!

Do you use mineral makeup?
No, i've yet to find a mineral based product that i really love.

What is your favorite lipstick?
Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks in 107 and 19.

How about lipgloss?
I don't wear lipgloss, however i have a lip laquer (Rimmel Apocalips in "Big Bang" and "Luna") That I wear quite often!

What is your favourite blush to use?
Because I have really rosy cheeks, i steer clear of blushes, only ocasionally do i use my Chilli Pepper blush.

Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
I don't, no.

Do you like drugstore makeup?
Yes! Pretty much all my products are drugstore! They're great for people who can't afford more high end products (like me), i especially love Rimmel and Barry M(for their nail varnishes)

Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)
No, there's none anywhere near me!

Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
I would love to in the future, yes.

Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
If it's early in the morning, I can be absolutely terrible, especially with eyeliner!

Name a makeup crime that you hate?
Too much fake tan, badly drawn on eyebrows, spider like lashes, there is tonnes!

Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
For eyes, definitely nude, all the way! For lips, I love a good red lip!

Which celebrity always has great make up?
Emma Watson, Blake Lively, Mollie King, there's loads of celebrities that always look flawless!

If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use?
Mascara, without a doubt! It really brightens my eyes, and i look horrific without it!

Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
I wouldn't rule it out, but it rarely happens, even if it's just a coat of mascara, I usually have something on.

Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
No, hence the reason I wear it, i have insecurities, like every female!

In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
Rimmel, without a doubt! Cheap, and high quality!

This is what it looks like on my lips

So a while back, I purchased this little gem from Lush, it's the Bubblegum Scented/flavoured Lip Scrub.
Firstly, it smells amazing. It does what it says on the pot, and smells like candy, and bubblegum, and everything sweet mixed up together. It is lush. (excuse the pun). It reminds me a little bit of their Snow Fairy scent, which I also love.
On the other side of the pot it says you can lick it off your lips (yes, really), and wow, it tastes so lovely! Sometimes I put it on, just so I can lick it off! (I wish I was joking..) It tastes exactly as it smells, if that makes any sense.
It was a little on the pricey side at £5.25, as as much as I do love it, I feel like it was a teeny bit expensive, for what you get, but then again, Lush is like that I guess, but it just smells and tastes so damn good!
Onto the actual product then..
I think it worked really well in scrubbing my lips, and it made them feel tingly and smooth, and truly scrubbed, so I can't fault it there.
However, it was a little hard to apply, as you can see by the photos, it literally was just little grains of sugar, and all of the ingredients, so it was quite awkward to use, as you have to use your fingers.
Also, as you can lick it off, I found myself doing that on regular occasions. But I thought that licking your lips was bad for your lips and made them dry? (That's what I was always told anyway!) So I stopped that. I now wash it off, which works better.
On the downside, one thing I hated about this product was that If I rubbed it onto the skin around my lips accidentally, it did make my skin go into a kind of rash, and little bits peeled off. (TMI I know) So I have to be really careful when applying it.

So overall, I thought it was a really enjoyable product, and I think I will be repurchasing it when I run out, because I liked it that much!

So, it’s exam time, once again, and this is the point in the year where everyone I know, including me, becomes a recluse for the five weeks we have off to study.

When I was in my younger years at school, I used to think that the “older ones” were so lucky, because they got so much time off school. I just thought it was like one big holiday to them, with a few simple tests in between. How wrong was I?!

I didn't think about the stress exams would cause, because school was a ten million times easier back then. I was worried about forgetting my homework, or my PE kit, or worrying because I hadn't revised for a class test. But they didn't determine your future. These exams do.

I’m from Scotland, therefore these exams are probably a lot different to most people reading this (if anyone is reading it!). In Scotland, when we are 14/15 we sit our Standard Grades, which I think are the equivalent to GCSE’s in England, although don't quote me on that! From the ages of 16/17 when we leave school, over 2 years we sit Int 2’s/Highers and in our last year at school, we can choose to do more Highers, or even Advanced Highers.
This year, I am doing five Higher subjects in Art and Design, Graphic Communication, French, Maths and English. The entry requirements for the various courses I am leaving open are all 2 A’s and 2 B’s, 3 A’s and a B, or thereabouts, so it's stressful.
Exams basically determine your future.
This is a stressful process. You revise the whole year for one exam in each subject, and no matter how hard I revise, I panic on the day.
“I don’t know anything!” 
“Do we need to know this?!” 
“I need to cram everything this morning!” 
And my favourite, according to everyone that knows me, “I’m going to fail!”
I know I must annoy people with my negative attitude to Exams, but I can’t help it. I’m just so nervous about mucking them up, that I go into panic mode, thus creating a panicked atmosphere around me. So, you don't want to be around me on these days!

So right now, I’m taking half an hour out to write this, before I go back to my revision in Art, as I have an exam on Wednesday.
So I can only give advice that I have been given myself, and I am trying to follow it.

“Don’t give up. Persevere and you will get there. The hard work will pay off. Just think, after this, you can relax, once they’re done, there’s nothing you can do except wait.”
